It was quite some time back when the computer industry was talking about the development of the most advanced artificial intelligence software application in the industrial context. The question many were asking at that time was that whether human or computer intelligence can be superior to the machine intelligence. Well, the answer is ‘No Way’. We have already defined what Artificial Intelligence is; it’s a concept of technology that enables machines to exhibit intelligent behavior by storing and accessing large sets of data through parallel computers.

One of the biggest problems with Artificial Intelligence is lack of data availability. Researchers claim that we are just now getting around to building the first artificial intelligent robotic assistant or robot which can work twenty-four hours per day without eating, drinking or breathing. Although this might someday happen, it does not appear to be near today’s time. Therefore, the best way to build artificial intelligence is to build an artificially intelligent system that works consistently twenty-four seven just like a human can, without having to worry about daily life.
Similarly, researchers claim that once an intelligent robotic assistant or machine learning system becomes more than an assistant or machine learning system it will surpass all human activities in its effort to do anything. Now, this might still be far-fetched, but isn’t it worth considering? The answer would probably be ‘Yes’. Think about the tremendous savings humans could realize if they were able to eliminate waste completely from their lives. Once you eliminate waste, you eliminate all the potential energy losses, cooling losses and heating losses you incur, all of which can add up to a lot of money over your lifetime. Therefore, the most advanced artificial intelligence machine learning system should be able to conduct any kind of data processing required in any industrial context.
Does this mean that future robots will never get sick or break a sweat? No, of course not, but they would never get confused either. This means that in any given circumstance the best way to ensure maximum flexibility and effectiveness would be to allow the machine or software to make the decisions based on actual real-time data that it receives. This data could include whatever it is that the humans around the robots see or need to know about. For example, say that you are in manufacturing and you have a large amount of raw materials that you need to process into finished goods, but there are human workers who are receiving instructions from their supervisors to go out and collect the raw materials at night or early morning, while the supervisor is away, then it is easy to understand why this human supervision is going to slow down the production line.
To combat this, the most advanced Artificial Intelligence software program that is ever made will have the ability to anticipate this situation and have the ability to carry out the human supervisor’s orders even when no one is around. This is especially important because human supervision is becoming obsolete in today’s world of highly intelligent machines. The machines have become so smart that they can make decisions on their own and without the human intervention; this is called autonomous operation.
In summary, I believe that it is possible to create the most advanced artificial intelligence application with an approach that does not need human supervision in order to be effective. Achieving such a goal would require the designers and developers to focus on what they are trying to accomplish with such a system and to ask the right questions from the beginning. It is also necessary for such an autonomous operation system to be able to gather and analyze enough data in order to make a good and educated decision. This is what is needed in order to create self-driving cars or planes, as well as to allow decision making using computers in the real world. Indeed, I hope you will please consider all this and think on it. If you have any comments, questions, concerns or case studies then please shoot me an email.
